Frequently Asked Questions About Wedding Cars

We are asked many questions about out wedding car hire so we have put together a list of the most Frequently Asked Questions here.

Q. What information is required to make a booking?

A. In addition to your contact details, we will require full details of all journeys including times, full addresses including post codes and details of who is travelling in the car. We will also need to know the colour of the ribbons that you would like on the car and what the colour scheme for your wedding is because our drivers try to wear a tie which closely matches your colour scheme for the day.

Q.  Do your cars come with drivers?

A.  Yes. All of the prices quoted include a driver. We do not operate a self drive facility.

Q. What colour ribbons can I choose for the car?

A. As long as they are available, you can have any colour you want.  However, lighter and neutral colours tend to look better. The favourites are white or ivory.

Q. How many journeys can I have?

A. You can have up to 3 local journeys between your pick up location and the church, register office or venue for the ceremony and then to the reception directly afterwards.  When deciding how many journeys you need, you will need to know the journey time between each location, allowing a little extra time for any delays etc. You will also need to consider how long the guests who are dropped off first have to wait until the bride arrives.

Q.  Who normally travels in the wedding car?

A. The choice is yours but its normally the Groom and Best Man, the Bridesmaids then the Bride and her Father.

Q. How do I book one of your wedding cars?

A. Simply call us on 0191 6452090 and we will complete the booking form with you over the phone. We will then send you the completed form to check and sign to say that the details on the form are accurate and that you accept our terms and conditions. One we receive the signed form and your deposit of £50 per car, then the car is booked. The balance of the payment is due 4 weeks before your wedding day. This date is shown on the form.

Q. After I have booked, do you charge for any changes?

A. We don't charge a fee for changes.  However, if your changes involve an significant increase in distance or time then we reserve the right to charge accordingly

Q. Do your charges include time to allow for photographs with the car?

A. Yes. There are no additional charges for photographs with the car in between the ceremony and reception.

Q. Is it a problem if our wedding involves a large time gap between journeys?

A. Generally it isn't a problem but if the time gap is so large that it is unreasonable for the car to wait, then we will need to charge accordingly for the car leaving and returning later.

Q. Are you able to pick up again after the reception on an evening?

A. This is not normally a journey undertaken by wedding cars but we may be able to do it for an additional charge if required.

Q. Are your cars available for civil ceremonies and renewal of vows?

A. Yes. Our cars are available for these ceremonies too.

Q. Do you have any other cars other than those shown on your website?

A.  All of our cars are shown on the website. We do add new cars to the fleet from time to time so if you do not see the car you want, please call us.

Q. Are children able to travel in your wedding cars?

A. Yes. Children are welcome in our cars. We may need to provide an appropriate approved child seat to comply with the law depending on their age and height. If children are travelling, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+.
